l4d and now steam

So i was pretty excited about the new update and all so i was gonna go hop on l4d, but every time i hit launch i said unavailable. I knew to reinstall it but i wanted to restart steam first just in case.

I restarted steam and logged in. except, it stopped at the Connecting steam account... page and just froze there. Its been doing that the whole time.

I have restarted my computer and probably should reinstall steam, but is there any other way to fix this w/o a reinstall?

Try deleting your clientregistry.blob then reconnect.

still wont let me into steam, the connecting steam account screen just stays there forever unless i close the process
