1.While playing as the Boomer can you make it blow up on your own? Because if not then survivors will knock you back and just run away and then turn and shoot you, which won't be fun.
2.Mods you stated that there is a time when survivors are grabbed or lunged upon that they can react and shoot the infected. Do you see this becoming something I can get accustomed to and pop every person that trys to hang me or lunge upon me?
3.As players we will learn over time where all wall breaks are and doors that can be locked and ladder climbs. So Survivors will know these also so do you believe that even with a director the survivor will have a pretty good idea that a tank may break through here or smoker on that roof?
4.Do your AI conterparts as infected act together or help you when attacking?
5.Do you see players getting used to knowing where the machine gun range is and just never going near it in the finale or just attacking the gun full force always leaving survivors helpless?
I may have more as I think.

1. No, I wouldn't think so... seems like a useless thing to apply to the game. Nor would it make much sense...
2. Not really a question, this is like asking, "Are people stupid enough to not use a gun when being choked," I would say yes... and that when people do get the hang of it, it might get quite common, as with many other games. However I would guess that it'd be harder to shoot a tounge or a body at certain angles, and in certain situations, something the Bosses will take to their advantage
3. Don't think the Director would use the same 'surprise' tricks over and over again.
4. Most likely, it'd be a big oversight if TRS never implemented sufficient AI for a third of their game.
5. Pretty sure a machine gun would cover a wide enough area... but... really don't know where you're going with this. I think it's safe to assume that a planted machine gun cant rotate 360 degrees, and likewise people at the end of it would rather stay away.

Noone was starting to flame, just answering your questions. So quit getting all bitchy towards everyone. So relax. If you read the preview, and it answered nothing what do you thing the answer is? For ex: The boomer question, on the preview they had a section on the boomer. If you didnt read that the boomer cant blow itself up then what do you think the answer is to your question?

1. No you cannot blow yourself up. Your manual attack is the vomit. As such, you are not entirely reliant on the Survivors being stupid. The fact that you will explode on death can create some exciting situations and panic the Survivors. Remember, there are other boss Infected, as well has many many regular that may be coming at the Survivors when you make your strike. They will not always be coordinated enough to juggle a Boomer, depending on the situation.
2. Yes, a player can have great reflexes and be able to readily counter Hunter's and Smokers. It is the job of these Infected to pick a time to strike when you will not be able to react, when you're distracted, or in a panic.
3. There are many many ladders and wall breaks and you can know them all. But, you'll never know when something will be coming from them. As in any online game, the person playing behind the Infected will be what keeps the enemy unpredictable. L4D is no different. As for the director, it really does what it says it does. There are no trends, no patterns, no anything that will allow you to predict when and where the AI enemies will strike.
4. There are times when the AI boss Infected would strike together, but it was never very coordinated. While playing the Infected, you won't feel that the AI has your back or anything. Instead, they may just view your attack as a good time to attack, or your spot as a good ambush point as well. The regular AI Infected do not plan at all and will just rush at any Survivor that walks past.
5. There isn't any situation where you will really be "out of reach" of the MG. Instead, it's really going to be a game of cover. Also, if the Infected are trying to reach the Survivors, who are being covered by the MG, waiting out of range would ensure a loss for the Infected. During the finale the boss Infected respawn almost instantly. You will keep throwing yourself into that damned MG until you dislodge the Survivor.
A few key points in summery that may help you out:
This is a competitive game, with players controlling both teams. Therefore it is subject to the same rules as any other competitive game: the enemy will be unpredictable.
Do not forget that there will often be hordes of Infected rushing the Survivors while the bosses attack. You will not be prepared to counter every single attack. Even if you blast that Smoker before he chokes you, you may not be ready for those three regular Infected charging behind you.
Skill, reaction, and a cool head can keep you out of trouble. The Infected will be looking for the times when these aspects are at their weakest.
I actually can't think of the answers as I see thiese being pretty good ones compared to others. Why are you people wanting to flame eithier answer or shut up and leave the topic alone your serving no purpose.
QFT. Guys, I don't like seeing our members respond to questions like that. Most of his questions were valid, or misunderstandings of what was said in the preview. Instead of flaming, help clarify these points since he obviously took the time to think them out. Makes me remember the old phrase "if you cant say anything nice..."

Alright I guess my questions were misunderstood as displayed in your answers but nevermind. For number 3 though I meant player versus player wise will I always know what routes are most "often" taken by other players or will there be so many different ones I just can't predict. For two they said you have a thrid of a second while this happen I was wondering if it was almost luck to pop the guy attacking you or something I got used to after it happens ten times. As for 5 I did not know it rotated in 360 I thought it was 180 thats why I asked. And the Boomer thing wouldn't be useless at all.

Make sure you post all your questions in this thread (http://www.left4dead411.com/forums/index.php?action=vthread&forum=2&topic=862&page=5) so that Azlegamer can bring them up when he's interviewing the dev team two hours from now.

There are too many different places for the players to strike from. You may have an idea of the common areas to expect someone to come from, and that's what would make you better than someone else. Creativity and unpredictability are what will make a strong player Infected.
It's not so much luck as it is reaction time, which you'll notice often fluctuates under stress (the Boomer hopes that you have quick reactions and blast him while hes on top of you)
The MG's can turn 360* and are typically in a position that forces the Infected to come through their area of fire. However, it will be impossible for you to mow down everyone and there will be cover for the boss Infected.

360 degrees? Surely not?
Actually, that was a mistake. They turn about 160*, but as I said, it covers an area that the Infected will be forced to run through. When the MG sits outside of a window, theres no real way to spin 360 now is there.
