Alright so I wanna play my new xbox 360 on my monitor because I want HDTV URL (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009094)
First off: My monitor is capable of HDTV right? (stupid question but I don't know anything about HDTV and computer monitors)
Now the damn xbox 360 VGA cables are 40 bucks
Am I better off to just get a video capture card for 20 bucks? Like this one

Or am I going to lose quality or something of the like... I have a S-video in cable which I can plug my xbox HDTV cable into (this cable came with my video card - 7900 GT). I'll view the HDTV input using the card's software and then just have my PC connected to my monitor like normal. Will this work? If none of this makes sense I'll try and find some pictures of the cables I have. Thanks.
