So are infected attracted to survivors because if movement? I sometimes am playing a hunter and I see the green glow of Zoey all by herself. So I leap at her and start collecting me some nipples, little did I know that Francis was directly beside her but just wasn't moving so he produced no glow. I always assumed that the zombies could smell the survivors. Is it a viable strategy that was in mind during the development to sit still as a way to hide from the infected or did things just turn out that way? I would personally like to see the green glow that survivors produce to be constant at all times of gameplay. What do you folks think?

Edit: Sorry for typo in poll

I greatly prefer the way it is now. Part of my strategy in Versus is utilizing my "invisibility" to the Infected by sitting still just after going through a door. The Hunter or Boomer behind us will come running out the door thinking he'll attack from behind but I immediately shoot it to death. Saves me from a LOT of things and it is really rewarding to prevent it.

Of course it doesn't always work for me. If the Infected notice that somebody went missing, they could ambush me while I'm trying to ambush them.

It's a tactic. If you move slowly or stand still you're not visible. Don't change it, it's a good feature which makes it a bit more interesting.

There's a compiled list somewhere of what you can and cannot do to become invisible to infected vision.

Some things like crouch-walking will let you hide from infected vision. Flashlights will not expose you if they're on.

Running, using the quick-chats (I think), shooting will make you visible.

I don't know where the list is off-hand though, pretty sure it's been linked to a couple times in the forum. I think this system makes sense. Going by smell alone would not provide the infected with enough information to know exactly where you are, assuming you were up-wind in the first place.
