Usually new footage is something most people would be excited about, and I miyself got very excited over the new footage from PC gamer and what not. But that's just it, this isn't NEW footage. This is OLD footage shown differently I don't know if anyone else is bothered by it but the fact that they're only showing the same level ever since it has been announced is pretty sad. And it dissapoints me because not only do I get the same shitty footage, but I get an official 2008 release.

Don't say its OLD footage, especially when the build is completely new... they took effort in making the new build and letting people play it... FFs, the old build was fine in your standards, they couldh ave just filmd the whole round but in a obsolete version, what good is that going to do? Especially when a dozen games already look 10x better.

Tbh, I don't have a clue what your talking about with core gameplay other than stuff like that. The game is basically that kind of thing + maps + graphics.
Unless you want them to print out some of the source code. How core is that!!!! :P

We also hear quite a few new voices (upon listening carefully) such as how your character comments when they pick up a weapon (can be seen in the safehouse as Zoey says "Yeah! Shotgun!" when he realizes you can't carry 2 weapons).

And someone asked before if you can tell someone's been vomitted on, yeah they're covered in blood.

what i mean is the other video's up to this moment in time have wow'd me except the latest, which is due to being the same mission, although loving the new flame effect, but other than that just seems same old, my biggest let down was the 2008 estimate as ive been following the game along time and was expecting a summer release, so at this point i was thinking 2 months until the latest... but obviously they are working towards just after xmas.

hahah well this is an entertaining thread... i must say the guy that started this was kinda retarded... To be fair, all the videos so far are basically the same, you kill zombies, and theres team work involved. but thats all this game is, and im perfectly fine with that. i cant freaking wait to blast zombies w/ 3 other ppl.
a lot of the new stuff is somewhat minor, like the new special effects, motion blur and what not. but thats what separates a good game from a great game, imo.
the only reason i can think of as to why that guy complains theres no new footage is because he expected this game to be like crysis or bioshock or something...?

The boys at TRS have already said that they're now in &quot;polish&quot; phase. This means, in general, that the core gameplay is set in stone. What exactly are you hoping to see above and beyond what has been shown and discussed? Of course, we'd all love to see new maps, but who wouldn't? However, I wouldn't want to see such a thing if the visuals were a step back. In terms of the latest vid from QuakeCon, I really noticed a lot of improvement in terms of the atmosphere. It's not just walls and floors and ceilings anymore - there are now heaps of fantastic decorative touches to fawn over, from elaborate blood smears to horrific post-slaughter corpse piles to new and improved facial/bandaging/ladder animations.

Some higher level play would be nice ... but these have been &quot;over-the-shoulder&quot; noob-o-riffic playthroughs. I for one would like to see an over-the-shoulder vid of Mike Booth and Co. playing as the Infected. That would be cool, listening in as they prepare the next ambush.

I noticed that too. They were covering the rear of the group, and hitting their marks well.

Not only that, but they didn't waste ammo by firing 10 rounds into one infected. It was just what was needed to get the job done.
