I was using z_non_head_damage_factor... 0.1 or 0.01 so that infecteds only die with headshots. However, there was a problem with oxygen and propane tanks. These weapons were harmless. I had tried increasing the damage and the range of the oxygen and the propane tanks ro very high values with no effect. I've found another way. Use this: z_health 500 This means that the infecteds are much more resistant. You can shoot dozens of bullets to their bodies with no effect. However, one headshot means death. Now, propane and oxygen tanks will kill them. I've combined this with z_non_head_damage_factor 0.5 (still works fine) and I've left high values of damage for the oxygen and the propane tanks. I've also reduced the damage of the rest of the weapons. Be carefull not to reduce them too much or your will not be able to explode the oxigen and propane tanks. I've found that it's important to reduce the power of the shotguns. Now shooting to the body of the infecteds with the shotguns pushes them back but you will not killed them unless you aim to the head or shoot at least 6 or 7 times to the body.

now we just need to remove 1-hit-kill headshots so you can have 500hp infected moving slow that are only pushed back by shotgun blasts etc.
