I need help !!!

I desperatly need help. My computer won't start properly and with the news of sdk and dlc I realy ned to fix it.

The computerdoes turn on but nothing works: monitor, keyboard, mouse and the USB sockets. There is also a strange noise coming from what I think is the cd drive.

Any ideas

sounds like something is wrong with the hardware,
question is, what hardware?
Try re-seating all the components ie. make sure the ram is in properly, the pci cards ide cables etc.. it could just be that something is loose in there.

How do you know that the kb/mouse work if the monitor doesn't turn on?

Try that and then if it doesn't work, we'll try something else.
Also, can you provide more information such as cpu/mb type, amount of ram, number of drives installed etc. The more extra stuff you have installed, the more things there are that can go wrong.

Finally, when did you first start having problems? What were you doing at the time?

I once sent in my comp to get fixed at a repair shop. Because I tried weed when I was a kid, I smelled it a mile away. I called the police, and one repair shop was down two employees. Had to do it. Could it be that theres drugs in your computer? Otherwise, try spraying with a can of compressed air. Once dust got into my comp so bad that it would'nt recognize I had a motherboard
