So the RE5 Demo is out on PS3 AND 360 now, and soon enough the full game will be out.

I played the demo, and it's really just RE4 with a new skin and coop through the whole game. That, and you can move and look separately fps style while walking now. The truly new thing will be the bosses and the "new skin" itself.

Of course, RE4 was awesome, so RE5 is already awesome for being like it.

It took me a while to realize how to use the inventory. I'm not sure if I like only being able to hold two weapons.

Well, I LOVE the demo and got used to everything almost instantly. The fact you have a smaller inventory means you can manage it even in the middle of fights if you have to, and the partner interactions are so AWESOME! I already beat both levels a few times, and at the end of shanty town 1 random online person and I kept shooting an electrical box that falls down if you shoot near it at one point which set off the electricity which we ran into multiple times. Much loling was had.

Did you know if you hold the partner command button there's other commands to choose with the D-pad? I think you can order the bot with these, I'll go test that.

As choppy as the old ones are and as frustrating as the primitive gameplay is... I have to say NO. The old games are classic. I don't think I ever want to see someone remake them... It would be really sad =[

I love the pacing in Resident Evil games as timing is everything, you need to know when to run, flank and stand your ground scrounge supplies and use them wisely. I loved RE4's gameplay and am so glad you can't strafe in RE5, Just playing like that takes me back to the original Resident Evils. I've read that playing the game on normal is quite easy and there are 4 difficulties so I'l have to play on Veteran then Profesional to test my skills over the years.

Here's hoping they add more characters to Mercenaries like Hunk,Carlos,Barry, Claire, Leon and Ada etc. Just a brush up on textures will do I don't care if they are animation clones. I read there were 10 characters but this in fact is just Chris,Sheva,Jill,Wesker with alternate outfits to fill the slots. :(

Im only 3 chapters into it and so far Ive only got the inventory that you have in the demo. You do have like a save room type box that you can keep other stuff in but you cant access it while youre playing. Only before/after missions or when youre about to start a game. I do miss the suitcase but its not something I can see transferring to co op play since you paused the game in RE4 to get into your suitcase. You cant pause when you access your items. IDK, it all works nicely though. Like most games it takes a while to get used to but it feels second nature already. :)

Lol I kinda stopped playing after that and started replaying the first few levels to gain money, weps, and hunting the emblems aka blue medallions from RE4. I would have loved to see the suitcase simply because I would spend like 30 mins playing Tetris with it just to make room for a grenade or an egg. Yeah, I kinda hoard stuff, knife/melee anyone I can so I dont waste my precious stuff, lol. So far no weapons dealer type of character and I dont think there will be one. Simply because you have that store type menu like I said before and it updates the more you find/progress through the game.

yeah... well, you'll see about that... I found out about 2 weeks ago about her, and I cried (not literally, mind you). I'm actually at the second demo level now... And, no, I don't think you get anymore grids than 9 (although if you give Sheva, she usually won't use it)

And I like the Controls for D, which are like the RE version of Gears and such (Left stick move, right stick look) and whatnot.

does any one else get stuck on load screens? I don't know if it was the guy I was playing with, or my game. But I've gotten stuck 3 times on load screens and had to start over. It's annoying.

But all in all, the game seems like a lot of fun in coop... not so much fun single player.

Lmao. Ive yet to play co op so I dont know about any loading screen problems but I will disagree with you on the single player game comment. The AI is just as, if not more helpful than any human player IMO.

The mission where you have to find the plate pieces and youre on the airboat. The rocket launcher is in the middle of the map on a half sunken boat. Im farming that map for eggs and launchers since they go for 1k :)

Just played it for a few hours with my friend. Very solid if I say so myself. I do miss the merchant calling me stranger all the time. But its solid and a lot of fun. It's cool that one other person can join in too. Kinda bothered me how weak the knife is now.

Lol Ive been trying to join random games but Ive had either people just sit there and not accept/decline me joining or they sit there and quit, lol. The Stun Rod is better than the knife but it takes up a slot. =/

And on the DLC, I honestly can't picture anything great for it. Maybe a few new guns or costumes, maybe even new characters for Mercenaries (if there is one), but I can't see anything better than that. I would love to see some different maps, for multiplayer only or some prequels or along side campaigns. SOmething like the GTA DLC, or maybe a bit of a background story for Chris or Sheva.

I agree, those two characters are probably my faves, apart from Chris of course. But Leon (specifically in RE4) and the prisoner in RE0 (can't remember his name) are pretty badass.

I did it on the bigger fatter dark skinned looking guys. Shoot him in the legs, or knees until he goes into his staggering animation. It should say hook/straight to melee him. Then the NPC Sheva will follow and after that, run in there to melee him again. Ive only ever done it on them because theyre the only guys so far that dont die or fall over after she kicks him.

And, as of two minutes and 34 seconds ago, I beat the game, RE 5 on The third difficulty (veteran or pro? can't remember) on the first try. Definately more action-y than RE 4, but WAAAAAAYYY better in terms of survival- I was hurtin for ammo the whole game, basically...

I recovered my gamertag to play L4D online, and had my MU plugged in. (I just got a hard drive with RE 5 yesterday... errr, two days ago) Recovering it permenantly deleted my achievement progress for the past 2-3 months... Including all of Gears 2, Fallout 3, HAlf of L4D (My Zombie kill count went from 43,000 to 15,000 OMFG), the last two episodes in Alone in the Dark, Cod 4, Soulcaliber 4, and Everything for Legendary... Mein gohtt...

Ok. Back to RE. So, I completed it with all A's and S's on VETERAN, in 9 hours 30 minutes... Wow... A long time... Died exactly 10 times, and got over 400 gamerscore... And it was incredible, and my loss for Jill is sated, I suppose... you find out what happens in the game, so I'll let you find out. Plus, I got the guide four hours ago, in it stuff for the DLC, including 3 types of multiplayer, basically almost all of the gameplay based off of the RE4 and current Mercenaries minigame... Although I liked the one in RE3: Nemesis... And about all the secrets... So if anyone wants anything special from the guide, just ask, and I'll PM it to ya. C ya!

You have to spend a crapload of money to completely upgrade the weapon, then use a crapload of bonus points to be able to use infinite ammo... BUT FOR EVERY WEAPON!!! Oh, but you have to beat the game in 5 hours or less to get infinite launcher... my third gameplay... :(

But, all is good. I am only 30,000 gold to be able to get infinite ammo for both the SVD and M3 Shotgun... Fun stuff. And Sheva's handgun only has three more capacity upgrades...

I MISS MY GAMERSCORE!!!! IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME GET IT BACK BY A SOLUTION, please HELP MEEE!!! (note: see above)

Theyre really easy to obtain with a guide. I would have rather you had to get them all on every difficulty or something like that. Ive only collected 23 so far.

Farm eggs for easy money or you could dupe them just as easily.

I just got to chapter 5-2 and everything including my AK-74 is upgraded as high as it will allow me at this point. Some of the weapons are already completely upgraded though.

Recovering your GT will not erase a part of your gamerscore, regardless if you have a new HD or whatever attatched. Your GT is archived on MS servers, and it can't just disappear. My bad if I'm in the wrong here, but I think you're just making this up so you can brag about doing so well without the proof to back it up.

(I just got a hard drive with RE 5 yesterday... errr, two days ago) Recovering it permenantly deleted my achievement progress for the past 2-3 months... I believe that if you play offline gaining achievements and recover it using the Live system then it recovers to the last point the tag was online. Much like windows restore point system. The only way to get those achievements back would be to have your tag saved somewhere (HD or MU) and go online with it so it updates. Oh and it would have to be the tag with the achievements not the restored one.

I did It on amature quick to unlock pro difficulty but then sadly I found out I had to do it on veteran, to not delay a longer wait I have 2 desert eagles with infinite ammo and am at the jill and wesker fight about 3 or so hours into the round yay. Even with infinite ammo it's still pretty hard at places. Enemies gain new attacks and stuff like the foggy giant cockroach does an unavoidable instant kill if hes anywhere near you, not to mention hes completly bullet proof but if you chuck a frag down it opens his chest and Sheva has no trouble blowing his insides onto a wall.

WTF, man,m I have seen people with over 20,000, OK?! I am severely PISSED OFF that I spent 50 hours on a game over the course of my relatively SHORT amount of personal time in two weeks, and it's like it NEVER happened... I had a musical to do, and I lost enough sleep attempting to do this, and it's gone. Hell, I got 900 gamerscore for legendary, and I can't get that back CAUSE THE GAME ISN'T MINE?!

I want to post this seperate to seperate the really bad pointless post with serious crap. I will highlight the situation perfectly. My friend lives in the main town, and he has X-Box Live. I had an MU which had all my data on it, right? Now, I mad it an LIVE account at his house, and had two of the same- I left one on his HDD, and copied another to my MU. The same one. Now, I played online at his house two months ago. I had about 5000 GS or so. When I took it to him, I put it in, and the account on HIS HDD updated to match mine on the MU. Then I "recovered gamertag", which then erased my achievement progress since that day two months ago. That night I unlocked five of the achievements in L4D that were erased.

The next day I bought MY HDD. When I went home, I plugged them both into MY 360. It didn't update, then I transferred it to my HDD. Still not updated.

Since then, I have recovered 500 gamerscore from L4D and RE 5. However, a crapload of achievements from Alone in the Dark, Gears 2, Legendary, and Bioshock are still missing. If ANYONE can help, please do so.

Oh, and I'm one upgrade on each weapon (SVD and M3) from infinite ammo... o.o

Delayed response! I have indeed rented it. I beat it earlier this morning since it was the only time I've had to actually play it. I had also been struggling with the dashboard and xboxlive.com to show that I have actually played it. I found out why it wasn't showing me that I was playing it, memory stick with my profile was full, changed it to my harddrive, but not achievements aren't unlocking. :/

yo, if you guys want money and ammo. you should go to 3-1 marshlands.

you can get 30,000-36,000 with one play through easliy without firing a single shot at anyone, you dont even see any enemies, the only thing you will have to worry about is getting past the alligators. what you do is try to collect all 7 of the beatles, all the gems, and treasures.

but DONT get those slates.

you going to encounter enemies if you try to get some of them slates.

some of the small villages, you dont go all the way through, like you get what you can before going too far into the villages and just leave after you get what you need. some of them, i only go so far and then leave, because some of them, once you go so far into the small village enemies will come, and some of them villages, if you pick up the slate, it will bring enemies.

once i visit all the islands and villages, i just quit and do it again.

i did that mission like 6 times in under 2 hours and i got 194,000.

you can get 30,000-36,000 with one play through easliy without firing a single shot at anyone, you dont even see any enemies, the only thing you will have to worry about is getting past the alligators. what you do is try to collect all 7 of the beatles, all the gems, and treasures.

So I've been reading up on this DLC which costs £5 basically and i figure ok why not? Why are alot of people pissed off about this? It adds new weapons and characters but then the new modes themselves seem well. . .shit

Slayers Rule mode------
4 players co operativly work together and must keep each other alive while racking up individual scores to beat the other 3, this sounds just shit and people won't work together but rather let their teamates go into a limping state so as not to do well in combat, this seems like a bullshit rule

Survivors Rule mode------
I've never complained about lack of strafing in a resident evil game until now. This mode pits 2 vs 2 in a shootem up against each team. There are respawns but what the fuck is CAPCOM smoking? You either shoot stationary targets or take a few seconds trying to aim from behind a wall. This just seems dumb

WHAT SHOULD BE IN THERE-------
Well they just said they can have 4 players in there, why not do a horde mode or do an original mercenaries mode where you and your team get to point A to B, if you've played the DS version of RE1 then then you'll know the mercenaries mode on that was awesome, As it's point A to B but you have to work together to solve stuff and eliminate enemies.

Lol, Ive already posted what the problem is and the only way you can fix it that I know about. Youd need the original profile with the achievements on it, and bring it to your friends house to update the servers on Live. If you overwrote your original by pulling it through the servers from an older copy it saved from 2 months ago then youre not going to be able to get those achievements back. They say get your profile on live before you ever recover it.

There is the ability to melee people and Im assuming youll be able to pick up different weapons on the map. I think it will work. If they implement the cover system that the game has, making it more interesting.

To be fair the go to point A to B thing was in Resident Evil 3 in mercenaries, then it got a similar treatment on the DS remake of RE1 but it involved 4 player co-op aswell where you would all need to split up and find the key to unlock a door, when someone finds out how the others follow the pattern. The players only see each other as star symbols but you share the same enemies in the rooms. 4 player vs which didn't involve other players as such, you run around on the map and killing certain enemies would either prevent opponents from running briefly or increasing the monsters health the enemy players encounter.

Recovering your GT will not erase a part of your gamerscore, regardless if you have a new HD or whatever attatched. Your GT is archived on MS servers, and it can't just disappear. My bad if I'm in the wrong here, but I think you're just making this up so you can brag about doing so well without the proof to back it up.

False. Recovering your gamertag ANYWHERE will erase any offline achieves. They tell you this as a warning before you recover it. And now you know.

And how's this for bragging? I'm almost to 44k!!! Seriously, I have nearly the lowest GS on my friend list. I get crap from my friends for not having a &quot;good&quot; gamerscore because I'm a girl, not an ACTUAL gamer. If you recovered your GS and it deleted your old score, there's no way to fix it. The achievements stored server side will always override what's stored on a HD or MU.

Here's what you said in your post though, correct me if I'm wrong... You had a live account that was on your friends HD and you copied your profile to a MU and played offline at home. Then you went back to his house, and updated the profile on his HD with the score on your MU (I was not aware this could happen, btw) and then, when you went online you RECOVERED your gt, even though you HAD your GT on the console already? You did 2 things wrong here. First off, you should have just deleted the profile on his HD, so you didn't have 2 of the same profiles EVER. Then when you came back to his house there wouldn't have been what I can only consider &quot;confusion.&quot; Second, you should have just signed into live from your profile when you were at his house. You did not need to recover the profile, when it was already on the HD AND MU of the 360 you were playing on. I can't believe between the 2 of you, neither of you knew that?? My question is, when you read the warning telling you if you recovered your profile you would lose any achievements you earned offline... why did you continue with it???? Ah, well... you didn't appear to lose any really difficult achieves, so good luck getting those back!! And next time you go back online, SIGN IN, don't RECOVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The game full of win and awesome, but 4 was better by a longshot. This one was shorter and seemed to be missing a little something, but damn it, it was VERY fun, and probably the only game I will be buying this year.

Its also the only game I have EVER tried getting all the achievements on. Every other 360 game I have, I am apathetic towards achievements. RE5 is worth it. This of course does not include L4D, since I own that on the PC, and tried damn near as hard to get those achievements as well.

I like how RE's combat involves a choice between moving or shooting. It's a unique brand of action that otherwise would be another third person shooter.

I always like to see interesting new combat systems as long as they're not completely unfair. This combat system has things built for it fine though.

Sorry, but you're wrong. I have played every RE game, and Outbreak File#2 gave you the ability to move while shooting. It changed the game very little, actually. This was more a very slow strafe while aiming, basically only allowing you to avoid a zombie for a few seconds, or maybe dodge an expected leap attack. It really didn't do much.

And BTW, it HAS zombies in it, on the conveyor belt in CH 5-2, I think. And a lot of them. YOu just don't notice until one grabs you... But they're zombies all the same.

NOt only that, but America has a very twisted sense of RE games. When you hear Resident Evil, you think zombies. When Japanese hear Biohazard, they think creatures and monsters, plus zombies. So RE 4 and 5 are spot on.

Oh, and the versus mode looks cool. All the stuff is in the guide i got for it. PLus more achievements!

theres a SIGNIFICANT difference in difficulty from veteran mode to pro mode like L4D's advance mode to expert mode.

ONE hit, all it takes is ONE hit and you are in the &quot;dying&quot; state. and you have ONE SECOND to heal your partner in the dying state before they die, man that shit is fucking SUPER hard. and the buttons you have to press in the quick time events, them joints are like STUPID fast, you have a very small window of reaction time.

you see &quot;dodge&quot; pop up on your screen and by the time, you even noticed it and press the button, you are already dead.

i made it to 4-2. i havent beat the 3-3 boss because its impossible to beat him on Pro difficulty so i just skipped that level. lol

and also, i use the Desert Eagle with infinite ammo, so some enemies that used to die in one hit from that gun, now die with two or three hits from the Deagle. im like damn dawg.............

Hmmm. Guess I missed em'. I've just been running through the game as fast as I can on Amateur just to see what all it has to offer.

Don't bother looking for the BSAA emblems some of them are hidden just out of sight so that you can find them by looking. But the vast majority are hidden in ridiculous spots. Like far off in the distance you can barely see even through the scope of a rifle. Just use a guide to find them.

Also I plan to actually try Professional soon since its about all that's left for me. I already unlocked all Mercs stuff an have most achievements except weapon upgrading since I didn't cheat for money like most seem to.

Licker, its on the dashboard main page under the inside Xbox tips section. Anyway, just take a shotgun with you run up to one and blow it on its back, then run up to it to stab it.

Run around on solo and give Sheva only healing items and get hit a lot. Press B every time she heals you. Quit, save and repeat. I will add that Ive played the entire game with Raine having her press B every time I healed her and shes yet to get the achievement. I got mine playing with the AI.

I now have all of them BUT the upgrade one, and that's with only upgrading one and about a half machine guns. Pro mode isn't that hard... But then again, I have all the right tools: 2 magnums (L hawk and S&W 500), the M3, the SVD, and the rocket launcher, all infinite. Plus, I got enough money in that playthrough to upgrade 6 and a half weapons - and two were the Hydra and the replacement Matilda (the burst handgun, can't remember its name). Those were expensive.

The button sequences are hard, because if you miss it on your first try, you fail automatically. That's why. It's no shorter. Trust me.

And actually, AI Sheva isn't bad... But sometimes goes screwy. I beat the game 5 times, plus once on PRO with her... The problem is in the Wesker/Jill fight. She tries to run to you... Even if it means her death.

For the Trust achievement, press B or Circle everytime she gives you stuff, when she gets a headshot, and always take all the items then give it to her. It's just being nice. &quot;Thanks&quot; &quot;Nice Shot!&quot; &quot;Here, Take This!&quot;

But I also don't farm the eggs and shit. I just play the game: BTW, you guys may want to start saving those exchange points, because for the versus stuff, the best character, STARS Wesker, is worth 50,000 points... Thats 3 and a half infinite magnums in the bonus features menu... that's also 25 S's in Veteran, so... Something to think about. Plus ten more achviements.

I've got all the emblems in the first few levels. They seem to be easier to find in the beginning.

The problem is in the Wesker/Jill fight.
My biggest problem with the AI was the last Wesker fight. And in the mines, I have to hold the lantern if I ever expect to see anything... lol.

I was rather sure she aims the light where youre aiming. I didnt have a problem with her, but she is an idiot from time to time.

Also, Link you do realize that the versus DLC is online, right? How exactly are you going to get it if your gt isnt even online?

All the good programming went towards the enemy AI catching you. I dont particularly like that all the mini boss characters can jump past any and all ladders. After all that, they didnt have any time to make Sheva any smarter than practically being your dog from Fable 2.

Yeah, I would have loved to see a return of the Garradors but the fact that most mini bosses can 1 hit kill you really does make you want to run around like a bitch for your life, lol.

Lol thats classic. I believe the first time I did that I had died and was about to give it another try when I started shooting some fishes. It was an unexpected but entertaining surprise.

There is always someone with some form of the T-virus variant left. Thats assuming they dont purse the whole Las Plagas/Uroboros strain. Also if youve beaten the game youd know what Im talking about regarding Wesker.

Yeah. Wesker is a bastard. But... there is a document that tells the status of other people that contain the virus or created it. Some are indeed unknown in location, but a evil person named Jane or whatnot doesn't sound right.

And the knife comment: When fighting Wesker at the end with Sheva where you unload on him and he spazzes and shows his heart, he'll do his fanciful raise arm in air tactic. Run up to him and slice your knife into his heart. It's the best.

My dad deleted them while fixing the computer 4 years ago, and now I REEEEALLY want to play them again... :(

No matter how hard I mash the button he just won't die, I'm on full health every time too. It's Vterean mode BTW.

I've never had any trouble with button m,ashing sequences before, so anyone know why it's not working? If it's glitched or something I really don't want to start all over.

first pull on the swtiches in the level, theres three of them, its makes it harder for him to notice you. if you dont do this is damn near impossible to beat him on vet mode unless you have a unlimited ammo magnum. once you turned out all the lights(three of them) grab the rocket launcher and wait for him to lose sight of you(he just walking around aimlessly) then you shot him with the rocket, he will catch it, once he catches it, you shoot the rocket in his hands, before you shoot that rocket, you MUST get close to him BEFORE you shoot the rocket, he will be wrestling with the rocket for a few seconds, so that will give you time to get close to him but not close enough for the blast to hit you, and then, shoot the rocket while its still in his hand. he will fall to his knees after you shoot the rocket, if your chris, you run and restrain him and hold him until sheva stick the needle in him and your done. if your sheva, when he on his knees, wait till chris grabs him and then you stick the needle in him, once hes on his knees, a button will pop up, and thas when you do what you have to do. once you stick him with the needle, he's done.

if you miss with that one rocket, theres five more at the very top of the area, after you climb up the ladders, if you run out of those, i hope you have inf ammo for the magnums or ALOT of ammo for them, because you would then have to shoot him a bunch of times until he drops to his knees and then you restrain him.

i liked it when resident evil was about killing zombies not minorities :P

Yeah, there's been a lot of controversy over that.

As for the newest question posted, go to restrain Wesker after he does the swirling hurricane of tentacles. That should be the perfect time to do it.

i found that once you restrain him, there will be a split second X and if you hit that, sheva injects him

no he's not on that part, he on the part where he at the volcano and chris grabs him from behind and sheva gets to stabbing him, the problem is on the harder difficulties, chris's life will start drain really fast before sheva kills him.

to put it simple, you cant kill him that way, you have to kill him the old fashion way, just by shooting him enough times in the back. OR the more times you shoot him in the back(weakening the heart), the shorter time it takes for sheva to kill him once chris jumps on his back and and sheva starts stabbing him. your best bet is to just not have chris jump on his back at all and just shoot the nigga to death.
