I'm just wondering this because I found out through an ad on AOL. I've been writing a zombie horror story, and when i read the game's summary i was like "holy shit my idea!" lol. after overcoming the sense of euphoria, i looked it up even more, and found this site.

so, i'm wondering, how did u guys find out about Left 4 Dead?

Left 4 Dead: I found out about through friends. Just simple networking, talking about upcoming games and engines and whatnot.

411: Messing around on google.

I found out by reading a "most anticipated games of 2007" feature on 1UP at the beginning of that year. Maybe I can find the article...

edit: Here it is. (http://www.1up.com/do/feature?pager.offset=2&cId=3157509) Release date back then was Spring of 07. ^^ I was totally hyped.

Saw a glimpse 3 years ago, thought meh FPS zombies sprinting wouldn't be tense but just clusterfuck, don't work for me (Huge classic RE fan) year later heard about this director that muddles things up and people struggling to complete the game on normal mode. Hyped for a challenging co op game. Bought it, friends thought it was pants, played by my own with bots and the occasional people from class who like to grief.

Saw it back in 2006 in a PC gamer magazine. Looked like a great horror game. Then I stumbled upon this website, since the actual website told me shit I had known for months, and this became my only source of left 4 dead info until release. About the time of the demo I figured out that there was this magical space called a forum, and I've been here ever since

Since it was featured way back in PC Gamer, late 2006, I've been following the game on the Steampowered forums, then moved to here.

My home town was attacked by zombies. Myself and this girl from down the road were the only 2 survivors and I went online to research anything that might help us live through this. Luckily I came across this site which has a ton of information related to zombies.

In case you were wondering, yes we are repopulating our town.

I was talking with a friend in '07 after one of our exams, and we agreed it would be awesome to have a co-op zombie shooter. Next day, I google it, and low and behold I come across a website called "Left 4 Dead 411". The rest, they say, is history.

I read a review on OXM about a year and a half ago.
When I looked at the art, I thought Louis was white.
Then when I played the demo, I was surprised to see a black guy.

A friend told me about it, then I went looking for more information about the game and found some previews on this site around a year ago.

I heard about it at school. They said it was a co-op zombie game made by Valve, and I jizzed in my pants.

I came up with the game, then emailed it to Gabe, who told Mike Booth, who started to create it. They stole my idea.

For real though, I saw the trailer when it FIRST came out and was so impressed. A little bit later I saw the steam update news about the preview for the game and read it, lingered for awhile, then finally registered and posted.

I'd heard about L4D, but since I was pretty busy with other games, I kinda brushed it off...that is until my friend told me about this super-sweet zombie game he got for 360. We had four of us passing the controller in splitscreen and I was immediately sold. Snatched up PC version as soon as I could (no 360, though I still would've probably gone PC...hell, maybe both!).

As for 411, I found out about it from Valve's Developer Wiki.

Started off slow by hearing about a co-op zombie game, and the possibility of playing as a zombie. Saw some gameplay and thought "Meh."

Then as the months by as it came closer to release, I realized I had to have it, so a few days after X-mas I went and bought it.

First saw about L4D when I left my Orange Box at the game menu. Then after a while, the trailer for L4D was playing. I am usually not interested in zombie/horror games, but I still checked it out. Turns out it was a 4 player co-op game. That wasn't so bad then, considering there are other players to play with.

Ive been a valve fan for a long time i heard about it but i didnt think it would be that good [because it was so early in design had all these glitches and was low in graphics] until I heard like 50 people talk about the new left 4 dead game in team fortress 2. So i decided to investigate i put the bugs aside knowing that they would probably fix them and same with graphics and after 2 years [the first time the tried to say a release date for it in 2006] I bought a brand new computer just so I could run it for it's release. Now today im still on this computer i hope to have for a long time.

It was always funny to watch an older video with the old glitches and people calling it shit because of that glitch or whatever it happened to be.
