I've had L4D since yesterday, and I'm still figuring everything out. However, I seem to be getting disconnected a lot. I'll just be playing and suddenly I'm disconnected and it says that I lost my connection to the host.

Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, I get that quite often (and it isn't disconnection from Xbox Live, just a server).

Sometimes happens whenever a lot of people leave a game at once.

Ok, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't just me. I'm new to this whole thing...is there a way to find the game that you were just in and rejoin if it was just a random match?

Hmm, the only way I know of is to go to your recent players' list, go into one of the profiles of a player in that recent match and go to join game in progress.

But chances are that everyone else got disconnected too, but you could try anyway.

I get disconnected about a minute into every game I join. Really pissing me off

The last patch sorta ramped up server/disconnection problems, so you guys are definitely not alone.

But they have not added any patches for the xbox... Really pissing me off, even it would not let me join a party, I have Fios, and it is reading fine for my computer and other things, but not working well for my xbox... I wonder if I will need to do something about it

Your NAT may have upped itself to medium or strict. (Which I know sounds idiotic, but mine was strict and I was still playing with people). The best thing to do is restart your router.

I noticed that when one person leaves, so do loads of others. It seems that when one person gets booted often a few others will go at the same time. I'm not entirely sure how it all works, but I'm guessing several people are linked together because of their NAT's, and when one person leaves the chain is broken and a few get booted.

it happens to you more if you join a quick match. try joining a lobby and waiting for a game to start. youll have better luck then

The last couple of days I've been getting disconnected quite a bit as well ... Thursday night it was to the point where I was getting "locked up" within the first minute of each game I joined.

Anyway, I decided to upgrade my internet from a Dynamic IP to a Static IP ... thus far it will jitter every so often, but I'm not getting disconnected.

Right before I upgraded my service I got kicked probably 7 times in an hour and a half and never completed a full campaign ... afterwards I ran for two straight hours, completed three full campaigns and didn't get disconnected once ...

My router was renewing it's leased connection to my internet provider and would loose connection ... with the Static IP the connection been permanent.

You might look into this, as I'm sure it could affect your connection if you are running through a router.

Im working fine now, I did not do anything other than reset my router. And that seemed to do it.
