Because most of the time it is retarded/lame humor where people think they are being smart and funny and/or making a good comeback.
They are not, and the overuse of quotes takes up page space meaning we all have to scroll all over to find good quotes.
Its pollution, and while it CAN be done to good effect, if it ever had been there would be no reason to bring it up.
Therefore it is bad. BAD. and it shows lack of original content.
At the very least you should add QFT or something.
