Darker Left 4 Dead

Ever wanted to create a darker atmosphere in left 4 dead? Sure you do. Well all you have to do is go to the audio/video settings in the options menu and turn your brightness down to zero(obviously). Once you've done that set your colour mode to computor monitor instead of television and ther ya go! It makes the game alot darker and scarier.

Combine this with the no music method for a much scarier left 4 dead experience.Some of you have probably already tried this but i thought i'd tell the ones that dont know.(BTW i did use the search bar).

Yeah it is hella dark. But this should come as pretty common knowledge to do this without help. Nice for you to throw this out there to us anyways ;D

I was hoping for that two. Oh well, this is fine two I guess. Someone is sure to make it a mod eventually.

They just have to create a darker map, I wonder what no mercy would look like pitch black... I AM ON THE CASE! (maybe, I have a few other mapping things on my plate)
EDIT: and by darker map, I mean fewer lights.

if your playing infected, i like being a hunter and knocking out all the lights in that level. Some you can't knock out, but like the floodlights and stuff, it makes the other team not see some pick upables

I didn't think there were that many dynamic light sources in the L4D campaigns. Opening a fridge turns on a light and smashing a tv turns one off, can't think of many others. But destroyable light sources could be an interesting factor in versus.

Now I'm gonna try breaking every light i see.

Isnt that the l33t way to play L4D? I dont think looking up porn is against MLG rules. Guarantee to p0wn if youre looking for MILFs during a match.

i dont think thats scary at all. if u wanna be real scary. Then just turn off the LightFog ingame,this is what makes it so bright ingame. then it will scare the shit out of u. turning darnkes down a bit helps too.

I really wish Valve kept it off, the whole point of the game is to survive and be in tense situations. Having the light fog, visably showing you everything really retracts from that atmosphere.

I know being able to see shit sucks. Theres actually this game on the xbox marketplace where all you see is this pitch black screen and you hear stuff and thats the entire game... Yeah its an epic failure... lets not resort to bringing L4D down to that level.
