l4d campaign Spray and Pray.
first level basement
players begin in a hotel basement and make their way across the city streets, through a warehouse yard, a hotel and office building. Ending the map in a gunstore store room.
second level gunstore
players begin the level in a gunstore and must cross city streets through a building being renovated, through an apartment building through a gas station which there is a crecendo event down narrow alley ways of which there is another event and down into the sewers.
third level under
??? currently being created

Finale will take place in and around a church.

What a crappy wheather in your map. Ungh... :P I'm gonna make a map with clear sunny daylight, so it seems all fine and dandy, but then things get a bit weird, because there's rotten carcasses etc everywhere. :D

played this map. enjoyed it had good atmosphere. Nice work

Tho for some systems the rain may slow it down

The only criticism that I have is that the outdoors is generally too dark and the indoors generally too bright. Also the rain seems a bit overdone.

Otherwise I thought it was pretty good! :)

love the vid doa, those sound effects are amazing. Wouldn't mind that rain effect added to my level sounds awsome. Certainly makes me want to keep making levels for this campaign and next time ill let you do the vid for my next level since u did such an awsome one :)

glad you liked the video man ... 99.9% of the sound effects actually came from the game itself - i just started browsing through the game sounds to find some that I liked ... the weirder sounds are just slowed down that's all.

The rain sound is rain on tarp and its mixed with a couple of thunder storms sounds ...

The only sound that is not from l4d is the heart beat at the beginning ...

map 2 gunstore

heres a collection of screenshots from the second map in my l4d campaign, as u can see it is to a much higher standard than my previous map and so im going to revise and re-release the first map alongside this one.
special thanks to stormy for the custom models within the map, these include
Ammo bag, gunstore sign, target, earmuffs.
The petrol station has panic event associated with it once the survivors destroy a barricade they must hold out agaisnt the hord for a time before continuing, similar to the lift in NM-3.

First official media release of my campaign spray and pray showing the first 2 maps which are both complete now. The first map is very diff from the early beta i released and has been improved upon greatly. Both maps feature doors that are randomly open to give a little variety to play. first map has fences that randomly hae holes in them, second map has 2 crescendo events the second one is present sometimes. also has 4 diff spawn points for weps and 4 for ammo.

On the 5th screenshot its an ammo bag (basically ammo spawn with a new model by stormy)

decided to wait and release the maps as a whole once the campaign is finished once its done i would say june probably which is quite a way off, your more than welcome to make the trailer then.

Ok... I got finally into testing this map. It was very nicely done, no doubt about that, but that map just is all out there to point how "not agile" those survivors are... I mean it's just 50m of a street we're going in that, but through every house etc, only because the survivors aren't able to climb over a smallest fence. :P

But I liked it. It had the feel to it. :)

overall, i thought the map was fantastic, it loved how when i left the basement, i was sacraficing the light and tight corridors for what seemed a vast blackness.

There are some texture problems and stuff, but they are easy enough to find and fix.

Media Release 2

I have progressed quite rapidly over the past few weeks with tanks/witches now spawning correctly and randomly in chosen positions. Gunstore the second map in the campaign is alot of fun to play and works great. I have also completed 30% of the 3rd map in my campaign spray and pray called underhalls. Map 3 takes place in an old sewage treatment plant and is my fav map of the 3 so far. heres a few screens of the map the last 3 shots are from the maps panic event.

progress will be on hold for 3 weeks since im going on holiday, but stormy is working on some custom models that should hopefully be ready for when i return.
