I uploaded a file to megaupload (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IDOFYB10) which is 1.11 GB. It is a file that have every l4d video we have so far. But it says that you need premium to download it. So does anyone know a site that lets you host a file over 1 GB for free?

Yes, and you DO know that hotmail at this moment gives you 5 GIGABYTES of free space?
Or perhaps you didn't...

Well... Depends on how you look at it... Just supply the address and password and ppl can use that same mail to upload and download stuff. ;)

It's not an optimal solution, but workable.

The download from hotmail is so slow anyway.

Was only 2gig on free accounts last time I checked. Did they up it?

Also, like most email, hotmail has a per file size limit of around 10mb, so it's useless for his purpose. That's probably what dontleave was referring to when he said "GIGABYTE, not MEGABYTE".

Yeah, you're right, it only supports 10MB/mail, though if you create 100 emails!...

Nah, I'm just kidding ;)

Closer to 112 emails actually, nub. (also just kidding. :P)

I found this via. google.
http://www.uploadbigfiles.net/

I haven't tested it but based on info from the FAQ and ToS, it appears to be like any other anonymous file sharing site, except with a 2gb per file limit. So long as its downloaded at least once every 90 days, it should stay indefinitely.
