My zombie survival plan - Page 2

I live in a small village. The population is only around two thousand. To the South there is a highway that goes over to the town next to me, the closest city I live near is at least a 45 minute drive. I don't have any guns, just a long bow in my room with maybe five arrows and a 6' hunting knife.

Seeing as the other side of town is nothing but a large lake with a small island not far off the shore I think that'll be the place to take refuge. The island maybe only has about two hundred people living on it, and if I could find a gun on my way there/ on the island I could hold up on the island for a long time. I'll just take my grandfather's boat. Although I have to admite I would be completly ignorant of the fact that I don't know how to drive a boat, which would provide trouble.

Here's the problem, though; it's on the other side of town.

It really depends on the situation. Does the infection hit without warning and everybody becomes infected right away with little time to prepare? If that was how it happened I would be screwed. If I had time to prepare... Well...

I would go to the local supermarket first. Grab as many canned goods and bottled water as I could. Return to my house with them and put them upstairs. Then I would go get weapons and ammo. Pistols, rifles, whatever. I would put those upstairs in my house. Also would bring a hot plate up there to heat up the canned goods. Also would bring a long ladder up there.

Barricade the ground floor doors and windows. Maybe set up some traps if I have enough time. Plywood with nails through it on the floor. Set up some wire in front of it so infected that get in would trip and get stuck in the nails(Could even remove them so it could be done again if I am immune). Set up concertina wire maybe.

When I am ready I would take an axe to the stairs as I go up them. Zombies can't fly

That is what the long ladder is for. If I ever need to get downstairs to remove bodies from my traps or to go looting I can just put the ladder where the stairs used to be.

While I'm upstairs it would get boring. If there is electricity I would make sure I have my tv, xbox, porn, hotplate, computer, and gameboy. I would also pick off infected from the window. Not too many though. Can't waste the ammo.

Well I think that's about it. I probably forgot some stuff but oh well. Zombie Survival Guide ftw.
