L4D Gameplay Footage from Showdown LAN - 7/2/07

A Showdown LAN attendee named Lennox has posted video of the event including never before seen video of Left 4 Dead in action! From around 3:15 to 5:22 in the video we can see people playing L4D and having a blast. The video really shows how intense and frantic Left 4 Dead is while playing, showing the beginning of the Hospital level, a player getting choked by the Smoker, and a lot of Finale action. Lennox has said the following about L4D:

"Left 4 Dead is RIDICULOUSLY fun. No trailer I saw of it beforehand even REMOTELY did it justice. I can't WAIT for this baby to come out. Lemme tell you from firsthand experience... addictive. I can see this thing becoming VERY popular. Not only has the world been at a loss for a real CO-OP game for a while now, but this thing does CO-OP better than I've ever seen it done."

Update 7/06/07: There have been comments made about the poor quality fire effects in the game present in the video, but we have gotten word from Mike Booth that they are placeholder and that Turtle Rock has already been working on new fire that they haven't implemented yet.
