Left 4 Dead at EA's Summer Showcase - 9/6/07

Turtle Rock and Valve were at EA's Summer Showcase showing off Left 4 Dead. IGN has posted a preview with 3 HD videos, and GameSpot has also posted a preview with their own gameplay footage. IGN says that the boss zombie side has "underwent a relatively major overhaul recently," so they were unable to check it out. Valve also told IGN that each of the four characters have 700 to 900 lines of dialogue each. No new tidbits from GameSpot.

The IGN video is the highest quality direct-feed video we've gotten showing the beginning of the Hospital mission. We finally get to hear some of the music. It's hard to judge music when you're not actually playing, but right now it sounds like it's basically a drum beat in the background. On GameSpot video 4, we can see that Turtle Rock has changed the outside of the warehouse again. It used to be a two-person elevator, then it was a four-person at the last showing and now they have put a parked truck that you must climb on to get to a ladder.

GameSpot really has the much better footage, in video 6 we see the sewer thoroughly and in video 7 some nice footage outside of the sewer and heading into the hospital. Check them out!
