X-Play Previews Left 4 Dead - 1/15/08

G4TV show X-Play previewed Left 4 Dead on their January 15th, 2008 show. The show featured Adam Sessler interviewing the sharp-looking Chet Faliszek, writer from Valve. X-Play's preview contained first-ever footage of the Cornfield level, with all of it focusing on the finale area of the scenario. The finale takes place at a farmhouse surronded by forest and a cornfield, with a barn and silos nearby. There's tons of clips of the Boss Infected attacking, check it out:

The Hunter's pounce is looking wonderfully gruesome, and also this is the first time we've really seen the Hunter's leaping in action, jumping on and off of buildings with ease. Gone are the magic lights, if you look closely you'll notice that all of the weapons now have flashlights attached. The particle system is on display with plenty of doors being destroyed and broken down. At 4:23 the player is being chased by a Tank with the screen and ground shaking around him. For a game over half a year away from release, L4D is looking great.
