First Death Toll Video, VGA Nominations - 11/13/08

G4TV has posted the first Death Toll footage ever and Spike TV has announced the nominees for the 2008 Video Game Awards with Left 4 Dead receiving three nominations.

First, Death Toll footage. The video below shows the first five minutes of the never-before-seen campaign, going below a broken bridge, into a tunnel and into some type of facility. The HD version is available here.

If you're reading this you should have watched it already, and I hope you're shaking your head at the last few moments when the player tossed a pipe bomb at a fellow Survivor being choked by a Smoker and did nothing to save him. The entire video was pretty sad but at least we got to see the new movie.

Spike TV announced the nominees for the 2008 Spike TV Video Game Awards, and Left 4 Dead received three: Best Shooter, Best PC Game, and Best Multiplayer Game. The other nominees:

Best Shooter
Far Cry 2, Resistance 2, Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead

Best PC Game
Spore, Crysis Warhead, Warhammer Online, Left 4 Dead

Best Multiplayer Game
Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead, Resistance 2, Call of Duty 5

If L4D doesn't win best multiplayer, the entire awards are a sham. If Spore wins best PC game, you know they can't be trusted because that game was an absolute overhyped shitfest (after the cell stage anyway).

Congratulations to L4D for the nominations, hope it wins.
