Versus Video, Edge Review, Xbox on 17th? - 11/15/08

GiantBomb has released over 8 minutes of Left 4 Dead Versus footage from their time playing with EA PR staff and editors from other outlets which you can see below. There's views from both sides, Survivors and Infected. This video serves as proof of the following recommendation from the game manual:

Play as one of four human Survivors trying to get rescued - or as one of four unique Infected classes to make sure they don’t. Versus Mode assumes you’ve mastered the cooperative game mode. We recommend you beat at least one Campaign before playing Versus.

OmniAtlas from the forums found that Edge Magazine reviewed L4D in their latest issue, giving it a 9/10, and had the following to conclude:

Even in a season packed with multiplayer treats, and despite the relative lightness of its content, Left 4 Dead stands among the very best that online gaming has to offer. Certainly, few games have left us as wound up, and though this sensation will inevitably dull with familiarity, credit must go to Valve for making an online game which so involves players in its horror. We'd hope to be playing Left 4 Dead for a long time to come - if our nerves can take it.

Valve announced a Valve Complete Pack on the 12th, a package with all of their games for just $100. Buying each game individually would cost $234, so you save $134. Left 4 Dead is included in this bundle.

Go buy it if you don't already have their stuff.

Penny Arcade posted on L4D, although it was a little all over the place and I have no idea what they finally thought of the game.

Finally, my Xbox 360 version of Left 4 Dead delivery from EBGames has shipped already, and when I go to track a package it says this:

Your package is on time with a scheduled delivery date of 11/17/2008.

I purchased it from them when they had the free overnight delivery deal going on a few weeks ago, and if I get it a day earlier than everybody else that'll be fine by me! Everybody else who ordered including Frogopus have the same thing, so maybe there's a lot of lucky people out there.
