Congratulations to everybody that got Left 4 Dead for Christmas, hope you're enjoying it! Left 4 Dead was selling strong this month on the PC, ranking fourth from December 7-13th.

L4D On Sale
Steam is having a huge holiday sale. L4D is only $37.49, the four pack is down to $139.99, and the Valve Complete Pack is at $74.99.

CAL Announces L4D League
CAL has just announced a new Left 4 Dead league for competition and is now accepting applications to be an admin and help run the league.

Destructoid Game of the Year 2008
Left 4 Dead beat out Braid, Castle Crashers (awesome game), Fallout 3, Lost Odyssey, and Metal Gear Solid 4 for Destructoid's Game of the Year 2008! Congratulations Valve. Also on Destructoid is an interview with a Left 4 Dead zombie - originally posted on FreezeCracker and embedded below. Good job Mxyzptlk and Mudkip5000.

The Real Zoey?
Sol Invictus at Hellforge believes Zoey is based on Sonja Kinski, an actress, with some nice comparison shots and information. We checked her hands, because Yanlin pointed out that in the No Mercy poster, Zoey has 3 hands (pictured below). Just got the L4D movie posters in the mail a few days ago, and that mistake is also on the print posters. Oops.

Left 4k Dead
Markus Persson made a game called Left 4k Dead for the 2009 Java 4k Competition. The entire game is less than 4kb in size, and source code is even included. Nicely done Markus.

L4D Stickers
Left 4 Dead stickers are now available at the Valve Store for $10. You get four decals, the smallest being 3.5" x 3.5" and the largest at 9" by 3". Sounds like something to put on your computer case.

L4D Action Figures
Global420 on the Sideshow Freaks forums made custom L4D action figures of Bill and Louis and posted pictures.

Boomer Thong Skin, Santa Suit
Darksider1972 created a Boomer Thong skin and posted some pictures. s3^ Blind made a Santa suit for the Boomer which looks pretty great.

Smoker Basics Video
MoSteel posted a Left 4 Dead - Smoker Basics video on YouTube. Go watch it and get better with the Smoker.

Boomer Exploit - Recharge barf in half the time
pulse077 posted an exploit on how to recharge Boomer barf in half the time. This is also how you recharge your HP as an Infected, and we hope this gets fixed whenever Valve patches L4D.

Custom Background Video Tutorial
411er Grubster11 has posted a tutorial on how to get a custom background video on the Left 4 Dead menu. You can find the video tutorial here.
