L4D Strategy, Glitches, Case - 12/22/08

VoodooDan over at The Next Bench got a custom L4D case made, and has posted details and pictures. Great looking rig!

IGN has featured L4D in its latest IGN_Strategize. All of the tips are good, except that she says to not shoot your teammate pounced on by Hunter so you don't do damage to them. It's not possible to do damage to a teammate in this situation, so blast away at the Hunter.

Forum member Sprinkler created a video guide on how to play the Tank.

Tony Mitera posted a seven-page L4D guide covering quite a bit.

WarKirby on the official forums posted Survivor outline Visibility Testing results, which list what makes the Survivors visible to the boss infected in Versus mode.

ThermalSausage found two map glitch compilation videos made by GMGO from the official forums. The first is located here with things we've posted in the past. The second is some new stuff including skipping a crescendo in Death Toll 4, skipping the crescendo in No Mercy 3, a new No Mercy jump, and then two pretty useless glitches of climbing the bridge in Blood Harvest 3 and jumping down the other side of the apartments in No Mercy. The next glitch is really really strange, found by William Bokunic. William is posting it as an easter egg, but it seems much more like a glitch to us (allowing you to skip crescendo events). If you melee a gatling gun, you 'charge up' the gun and then jumping on it launches you forward. It's strange, have a look:
